NEWS: Members of Canada's 2008 Olympic Wrestling Team to Train at UBC Today.
Friday, July18, 2008, University of British Columbia - The public is invited to watch members of Canada's Men's 2008 Olympic Wrestling Team practice for Beijing with former Olympic Champion Daniel Igali and Olympic Silver Medallist Guivi Sissaouri at UBC at 1500 hrs in the SUB ballroom.
This will be the only time the team trains in the City of Vancouver before leaving for China.

The Camp
Olympic and World Champion Daniel Igali will host the first annual 2008 UBC Wrestling Club Summer Camp. Joining him will be Olympic silver medalist and World Champion Guivi Sissaouri. Both men will take you through their training regimen and how they beat the “best of the best”. Along with our team of world-class clinicians, Daniel and Guivi will show you how to perfect your timing, technique and mat strategy. This camp will also feature psychology, gymnastics, weight training and conditioning. Whether you want to be the best in your school or the best in the world this camp is for you. All on the spectacular UBC Campus in Vancouver, Canada.

A FREE pair of ASICS Wrestling shoes will be given away to one lucky wrestler each day of the camp. Wrestling Youth Camp as a major partner. ALL athletes registered for the the camp will receive a free ASICS Mesh Bag. UBC Wrestling will also be giving away one pair of ASICS Wrestling Shoes each day to a lucky wrestler and other ASICS items will randomly be given out as well.

CBC Radio One's, The Early Edition will be covering the
Daniel Igali-Guivi Sissaouri, UBC Wrestling Camp as part of their Bright Lights feature on July 14th. Meanwhile CBC will also be promoting the event on their events calendar and on air on "690 to go". CBC Sports, the official 2008 Beijing Olympic broadcasters will be on site with their Street Team at the Dual meet competition on the last day of the Daniel Igali-Guivi Sissaouri, UBC Youth Wrestling camp. The CBC Street Team will be on site on the final day when the competition takes place promoting CBC and handing out promotional items.
