The UBC Wrestling Club got together at the Cactus Club in April to meet with their star clinician Daniel Igali and discuss the upcoming 2009 YMCA-UBC Youth Wrestling Camp.  The event has become a beloved fixture for the student run AMS/UBC Club and this year promises to bigger and better than ever before. Last year the event drew athletes from all across Western Canada and this year hopes to do the same.

The goal of the Committee is to create a sustainable, world class youth wrestling camp that promotes the sport on campus and in Vancouver. However, it's also a celebration of wrestling and the contribution of new Canadians to our sport. Hence having Daniel Igali (orginally from Nigeria) and Gia Sissaouri (orginally from the former Soviet Republic of Georgia) to be the head clinicians.  Thank you guys for choosing Canadato come to and representing.

The UBC Wrestling Club will also be hosting a UBC Wrestling Alumni Dinner, a Gia Sissaouri - Wrestling for MMA Camp, a CAWA Officals Grappling Seminar and 1st Annual UBC Grappling Open. This is all in addition to doing their regular school work, practicing and competing.
